Our Pastors

IMG_0218Mandarin Pastor Qianjin (John) Zhang (張前進)

Pastor Zhang Qianjin (John) was reborn in 2001 and came to the United States to study theology in 2006. Since 2008, he has been pastoring the Reformed Evangelical Church in Silicon Valley for five years. In 2013, he joined the Southern Baptist Convention and moved his family east to the Greater Washington area, started church planting and established a new church to serve new immigrants and high-tech people from the mainland. In 2016, due to the burden of the lost souls of the mainland compatriots, led by the Holy Spirit, he resolutely left the comfortable United States and returned to Beijing, where he had been away for 10 years, to shepherd the emerging urban house church, the Zion Church. In 2018, he was sent by Zion Church and the Global Life Enrichment Center in the United States to Chiang Mai, Thailand to carry out mission and church planting work. In September 2020, due to the impact of the global epidemic, he had to temporarily leave the mission field and return to the United States, waiting for the new call of the Holy Spirit. During the epidemic, he continued to shepherd brothers and sisters in mainland China, Chiang Mai and Spain through the Internet. On February 27, 2022, he officially became the Mandarin Pastor of the Chinese Church of Greater Albany in the capital of New York.
